Roma and Bolognese will meet for a first leg on Saturday at the Stadio San Paolo.
It was confirmed on Thursday night, when Roma confirmed that their transfer window will close on Sunday.
The Giallorossi are hoping to sign a new striker for the season, and have already secured the services of Marco Borriello from Udinese.
Borriello was signed from Juventus in the summer, and Roma are looking to secure the services on loan for the upcoming campaign.
The two sides will meet at San Paoli on Saturday, and should Roma beat Bolognese they would progress to the second leg of their tie at Stadiale on March 8.
There will be no TV coverage of the tie at the Sestriere on Saturday as it is a commercial day, but the match will be shown live on Eurosport.
Virgil van Dijk is a long-term Roma target, but there is an opening for the Dutchman in the Europa League.
Roma have been linked with a move for Borrillo, but he is keen to stay at Roma and will not be sold in the transfer window.
