The VooDoo Truck in Nashville is being acquired by the trucking giant to open a new restaurant in the city.
The VOODOO is based in Chicago and has an existing location in the Nashville area, but it will now be a new, new restaurant located in Nashville.
The company is expected to be a subsidiary of Voo Doo, the same one that owns the food truck empire.
The Nashville-based company owns and operates more than 1,000 restaurants in Nashville and around the country.
According to the VOO Doo website, the Nashville location will serve sandwiches, salads, wraps, burgers and other entrees.
The business has had success in the U.S. in recent years, winning accolades from the city’s mayor, the Tennessee Restaurant Association and others.
The trucking company has also a location in San Diego, California.
The restaurant will open sometime next year.
Nashville Mayor Megan Barry announced the acquisition in a press release on Monday.
“I am excited to join the Voo-Doo family as they expand their food truck presence in Nashville,” Barry said.
“This new business will bring new life to our city’s dining scene, as well as our dining culture.
We are honored to welcome the Voodoo family into the city, and we look forward to welcoming them into Nashville’s food truck community.”
The news comes a day after Voo Dog Food Truck owner Jim Kohn said that the company would be opening a new location in Chattanooga.
