It’s not just PB & Js, and it’s not even just a sandwich.
A fresh batch of homemade bread, or even a bagel, can be used to make the perfect sandwich, according to RTE’s “How to Bake a PB & P” podcast.
The podcast was released on Thursday.
Host David Barrett, a former RTE food writer, explained how to make a PB and P.
The PB & PAQ recipe is simple, he said.
You’re just mixing a pinch of sugar, two tablespoons of bread flour and a pinch or two of salt.
He also suggested adding a tablespoon of butter or olive oil to the mix.
“You don’t want to put the bread in the bowl too long, it’ll be crunchy,” Barrett said.
“Then you just mix it up.
You can make it by hand or you can use a machine.”
You can buy breads, pastries, bread crumbs and more from food stores.
The show also showed Barrett how to prepare a homemade PB & Q from scratch.
The best thing is to make sure the flour is all well-mixed before baking, he added.
“If you don’t know what you’re doing, you’ll end up with something very unappetising.”
